I started last night solving this rubik's cube...it gives me a headache but still can't stop solving it. For a first timer, it's really hard but its fun especially when i get to match a set of colors. Until now I'm trying to solve it and hoping to finish it this day...=p

I advise that you should try it. Your brain should really work!!! (",)

I don’t know what you’ve got

Can’t say that I love you not.

Your smile makes me stay

Your voice makes me sway.

Thinking of you day and night

Always make me feel right.

My heart for you beats so fast

It feels a love for you that will last

I know I’m not the perfect girl for you

But I’ll love you more than any girl could do.

Please let me give it a try

Don’t make my heart cry.

QotD: If I Had Guaranteed Success...

What would you attempt to do if you knew you could never fail?
Submitted by BeckyPink.

If I had guaranteed success...I would attempt to put up a big orphanage. Why an orphanage? Because I don't want to see young kids on streets begging for food, sleeping just anywhere (mostly sidewalks), stole money or learning to live their life in awful ways. They were not supposed to be on streets but in schools, learning how to read and write. I want to succeed in three ways. First is putting up a place for them which they can call as a home where there is enough food, clothing and comfortable place to sleep on cold nights. Second is to succeed in teaching them to be closer to God and that education is very important. Third is to reduce the number of street children in my country.

Making your own recycled papers

Don't throw old newspapers! You can still use them to create new papers. Recycling them would be of great help in saving mother earth. Try doing this simple steps to create your own recycled paper.

Things to be use:

Coat Hanger
Nylon Stocking
Old Newspaper
Blender
Bowl
Iron
Cutting Board
Paper Towels

Process:

1. Gather up several sheets of old newspaper.
2. Take the newspaper and tear it into little pieces.
3. Place the pieces of paper in a blender.
4. Add hot water and let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes.
5. Turn on the blender and blend the paper mixture up real well.
6. Bend the coat hanger to form a somewhat round loop.
7. Cover the hanger loop with an old nylon stocking. This will be our 'screen'.
8. Place the 'screen' over the mixing bowl and pour the liquid mixture onto the screen.
9. Let this sit for a while until all of the liquid has finished draining into the bowl.
10. Now place the 'screen' between two sheets of paper towels.
11. Take this paper towel sandwich and place it on the cutting board.
12. Iron out the paper towels. Get Mom or Dad to help with this step.
13. Remove the paper towels and peel the paper off of the screen.

Love our mother earth. Learn how to recycle things around you.

Never Give Up!

"Every dark clouds has a silver lining", many people has already proved this. If there is pain and suffering, there is happiness and comfort. I believe that God won't give us problems that we can't solve. There are lots of people who survive from worst ailments, lost their job or left by their spouse that saw this things as an opportunity to make their lives more worth living.

A life survivor said: "You just need beautiful and positive outlook in order for you to face your problems". Whatever ailments or tough problems we are facing; always remember that it can give a person a second chance.

Being diagnosed to have diabetes of high blood is not a death sentence. You could interpret these things as a sign to live healthier. Maybe you need to take care of yourself more.

Small incidents like neglecting by the girl you are courting can also be a challenge to be a better man. Do not change yourself just for that girl. Do what you want. Guitar or piano lesson? Transferring to other course? You won't do it because you're neglected, you'll do it because you want it to be your life-altering move.

Think of disease or rejection as a chance to improve yourself. That is your second chance.

Everyone who faces their problems can have a gift of finding a new path. Got fired by your boss? Maybe this could be the time for you to start the business you always dream of.

You and your most loved boyfriend got separated? Before you look for someone new to love, why not apply in a graduate school, something you can't do because of your over possessive boyfriend.

A problem can also help you overcome fear. There are lots of cancer patients and survivors that said: "Our outlook in life is more beautiful now after realizing that life is short and it's better to pursue what gives you happiness." Sometimes, worst ailments make you see who your true friends are. And suddenly, you'll realize that it is significant to give quality time to important things in life like family than to spend your time to vices.

Laughter is a good medicine

  • Aug 23, 2007

This early morning, I rode a bus on my way to work. I seated beside two women. I think they were either neighbors or friends. They talk so loud that if you were one to hear them, you'll get irritated so easily. They talk about each others problem. Both of them had a problem dealing with money. Do you know what's so nice as they talked and talked about their problems? They just suddenly stop and laugh. They laugh so loud. They laugh like they don't care about what others will say to them. They laugh like problems doesn't exist in their lives. All of a sudden, it seems like all their worries in life vanished. You can't find any trace of what they talked about earlier. Then I thought: "Laughter is really the best medicine". That two women is a proof. No matter how cruel life is, everyone would still find way to laugh.

QotD: What My Name Means

  • Aug 21, 2007

What does your name mean and why did your parents choose it for you?
Submitted by mommy2two.

I was named after the name of a month. The month I was referring to is the month of April. Though it's a very common name, i still like and want it. Who would not want a name that is so popular? No one in this world doesn't know the name April. But I want to share with you my name's meaning. According to the site "Behind the Name", the meaning of April is simply "April" from the name of a month which we all know that. It originally derives from the latin aperire "to open", referring to the opening of the flowers in that month. Maybe that's the reason behind why i like flowers so much and i adore them.

As I search more about the meaning of my name, I was directed to the site "Baby Names World". I red that there are other variants of my name which are Abril, Apelila, and Aprilette. I also saw a table that tells the popularity rank of April. It was then so popular and keep being more popular until today.

There was this another site that tells the meaning of different names. The site "Meaning of Names" define names in different way. It denotes the funny and humorous intent behind the names. According to the site I mentioned, the name April was derived from the French phrase "you're dirty, so take a shower". My sudden reaction was "I'm taking a bath everyday so how could that be?" (laughing after).

I don't know who chose the name for me but whoever did, I thank him or her.
